Ad Astra Project

The Ad Astra Poetry Project was a biweekly project that featured a prominent Kansas poet and their work. Dr. Denise Low, 2008-2009 Poet Laureate of Kansas, researched and compiled each edition to help make the poets work available for educational and personal use.

  • Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg

    Caryn is the Poet Laureate of Kansas, author of 14 books out or forthcoming, and founder of Transformative Language Arts at Goddard College, where she teaches. The Divorce Girl comes out this July. She facilitates community writing workshops widely, and with singer Kelley Hunt, Brave Voice writing and singing retreats. She lives with her family and many animals in the country south of Lawrence, KS where many deer and more turkey roam.
